88th defeat
Rahul Gandhi’s political statements often reveal a naive and idiotic spirit under his haggard appearance, with more salt and less pepper beard and multiplying wrinkles. His grand ‘Jalebi Factory’ theory in Haryana is a prime example.
Till yesterday, a section of the media was hailing him as the New Chanakya, and today, the same press is branding him as someone who could turn a victory into a disastrous defeat. All his Shitzus, Ravish to Ajit Anjum, Vinod Sharma to Punya Prasun and not to forget the beacon of knowledge, Yogendra Yadav, have yet to learn how to swallow the bitter pill of Haryana’s defeat. This cabal had gone out of its way forecasting Rahul’s victory, so much so that Dhol walas were called to the Congress HQ at 9 am. Poor fellas had to leave around noon.
The Disgruntled Pehelwan, Kisan, and Naujawan narrative flopped in Haryana. In J&K, they could barely win half a dozen seats. What has gone wrong for the Congress? After the moral victory of the 2024 general election, it was assumed that the party was getting some traction, owing to its fake news, vile jibes and half-true narrative. A large section of the media quickly pronounced the end of Modi’s era and the rise of the new political star, Rahul Gandhi. However, the honeymoon was short-lived. In the very first state elections after 2024, Harayna and J&K proved everyone wrong. In Haryana, where the BJP was fighting huge anti-incumbency of two terms, it was a sure-shot win for the Congress. However, under the erratic leadership, Congress failed yet again.
How can leadership be effective without the crucial element of accountability? This is a question that needs to be addressed for any meaningful change to occur.
How can any party or organisation thrive on sycophancy alone?
How can any political party, especially in India, succeed without a clear and comprehensive vision statement rooted in development? This is a fundamental necessity for any party’s success.
Despite 88 losses, how could the top management remain the same?
For sure, Congress is nothing but a family party that has only one focus: making Rahul the PM and staying in power so that the family can stay out of jail. As I see it, the day is not far when the National Herald will have the youth icon of India behind bars.
P.S. The Lal of Haryana, Arvind Kejriwal and his party, AAP, lost their deposit on 80% of seats, winning zero seats.
