A Slap Says It All…
What if a CISF constable slapped the MP from Ayodhya and shouted ‘Jai Shri Ram’? What if a CISF constable slapped an MP from the RJD, AAP, or Congress?
Surely in no time, there would have been an uproar and democracy again would have been in danger. The fascist BJP government would have been cursed for hijacking all government institutions, even the central police forces. A Sibal/Singhvi would have filed a case against the constable, CISF and the government.
Arfa Khan, Ajit Anjum and the so-called independent media would have delved deep into the incident, blaming Modi, the government and everyone in saffron for radicalising the forces and using the government machinery to threaten the opposition.
But what happened when a CISF constable slapped BJP MP Kangana Ranaut? Nothing! In fact, a shameless Bollywood music composer offered her financial help if she was fired from her post. Would the same courtesy be accorded if the victim was an opposition member?
This is not the first time such an incident has occurred. Security personnel of Indira Gandhi used the Blue Star argument to assassinate her. What if the CISF constable had used the same contrived logic of farmers’ agitation and Kangana speaking against it, and shot her? Conveniently, the opposition would still have blamed the Modi government for not being able to protect their own MP.
What transpired at Chandigarh Airport is a dangerous trend of infiltrating the ranks and using government positions to carry out personal vendettas. Can the nation trust the CISF again? The shameless reaction from people, promising to gift her money and more, is a trend that will surely backfire in the times to come.
Not initiating the strictest of action against the constable will embolden others with similar agenda and before we realise we would be witnessing slapping incidents all over the country. Even after slapping, none of her seniors came rushing to contain her or apprehend her. She kept parading and ranting, supporting the Farmer’s Protest and her mother’s role in it.
The opposition is relentlessly pursuing power at any cost. They are willing to engage in tactics to disrupt the country, manipulate young minds, and spread deceitful and baseless narratives. Much of their election campaign was built on falsehoods. Was the Constitution truly at risk? Was reservation being eliminated? Were the OBCs or Muslims under threat? In reality, the Modi government has made significant efforts to empower the Dalits. From countering false claims about Adani to upholding the constitution, the opposition’s rhetoric is consistently grounded in falsehoods.
Rahul Gandhi has no idea or maybe he has, how he has been posting the minds of an entire generation. And yes, I support Kangana and Farmer’s Protest was a sham, a protest of anti-national Khalistan supporters.
