If there is one man whose ideology has caused irreparable damage to this nation, more than Jawahar Lal’s, he is Gandhi. His conceited ideologies, misplaced notion of religion and inherent desire to play subservient to the side with force have made us a nation that believes in offering the other cheek when slapped on one.

This the precise cause of more than a dozen problems we have been facing for more than seven decades. Naxalism is just one of them.

Can you believe that these so-called poor, underprivileged tribals, protesting against poverty ambushed and killed 23 of our army jawans, injuring more than four dozen?

Are you aware during this ghastly incident on April 3, some 400 Maoists laid an ambush, surrounded brave hearts of Indian armed forces from three sides, and rained machine-gun fire on them, as well as used IEDs for several hours?

Can any person, anywhere in the world attack its army, killing and injuring hundreds of army personnel and yet enjoying support from society? Forget support, the nation will ensure that generations of such people are wiped away. But in India, we have a large section of the political class, journalists, NGOs, and journalists support these dastardly killers.

Ever wondered who are these poor, underprivileged people with the right to kill?

Naxalites are considered far-left communists, supportive of Maoism. Their origin can be traced to the split in 1967 of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) following the Naxalbari peasant uprising, leading to the formation of the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) two years later.

Let me use this opportunity to bring out the difference between often missed terms; Naxals and Maoists. But while the Naxalite movement thrives on the original spirit of Naxalbari; the 1967 uprising. While Maoists use weapons to achieve their aims, Naxals focuses on mass organizations.

This anti-national ideology thrives in sixty districts. Five districts in Odisha, fourteen in Jharkhand, five in Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, ten in Chattisgarh, , eight in Madhya Pradesh, and two in Maharashtra and eight in West Bengal.

The left and the urban Naxals have set a romantic narrative around this whole movement.

How these poor tribals have been oppressed by the society, government, and development How their lands and heritage is being snatched away. Though the reality is far from this. They are anti-nationals hiding behind the facade of an ideology that has no takers in the world. Supported by Congress-Left-China, they are murderers who don’t believe in Democracy, development, and the idea of a nation.

The way forward? Home Minister Shri Amit Shah is not one to mince words. Under the definitive leadership of our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, I can see a clear resolve.
